Made in the USA, Who Cares?
Well I do, and I think you should too. Every day we hear news of factory closings, and people losing good paying jobs to overseas "competition". We're told it's globalization, we can't do anything about it, so just get used to it. Not so fast.
What Can We Do?
It's simple really. We need to vote with our pocketbook. Put our money where our mouth is. I don't think for one minute that things will ever change and improve from the top down. We need grassroots action from the bottom up to make a difference. Good paying jobs can be kept in this country if we make the conscious decisions and take individual actions to do it.
How Do I Start?
Start by asking questions. What do I buy, where is it made, and is there an American made product or service that I can buy that will support jobs in this country without causing any severe economic penalty to myself or my company?
Let's Talk Exhibits
Since that's the business I've been in for the last 40 years, and the purpose of this web site is to supply high quality American made exhibits, let's talk about that a bit.

| Woody's in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan proudly flies the American Flag. Woody's is a local gathering spot like many others across this great country of ours. |

First, if you're on this web site, I'll assume that you have some potential need for an exhibit, and if buying an American made product makes sense to you, then here is some information that may interest you.
Made in the USA by Abex
The products I sell on this site are all made in the USA by Abex Displays in Los Angeles. As one of their online dealers, I am proud to represent one of the premier exhibit manufacturers in this country. They have a large manufacturing facility and employ hundreds of people in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of exhibits. Abex stands behind every product they make, and offer customers through their dealer network, a limited lifetime warranty on the major components of their exhibit packages.
What About Imports?
In a word: JUNK. I've seen them. I've used them. I've imported them. There isn't a single one that I can stand behind, represent, or recommend to any of my customers. Shoddy engineering, poor design and inferior components are commonplace. They are cheap to buy, but in the long run, they are expensive to own.
I've seen frames that won't pop up, hubs that fall apart, and magnetic strips and components that are so poorly made that they can't even hold the panels on the frame. Importers can buy a complete 10' booth all day long in China for about $160.00 USD. Add another $25.00 for sea freight and you're all set. Being mostly made of aluminum, no US import duty either. There's not enough space on this entire site to talk about trade policy, so enough said. If you're interested, you can buy an imported booth on eBay or hundreds of other web sites for around $699.00. What a great deal? Just try and get it serviced or repaired once you own it!
The Grand Scheme of Things
I don't know about you, but I like to own and use quality products. Whether it's a computer, printer, saw, or any other piece of equipment, I never mind paying for quality. If it can be a product made in the USA, that's even better in my book. The four products here are perfect for 90% of most small exhibit requirements. We drop ship direct from the factory in Los Angeles to keep our operating costs to a minimum, and our prices as low as possible. You will be very pleased with any of these exhibits, and we look forward to becoming one of your suppliers. Go USA.
